Timothy Hill

Over a 30 year span Timothy has collaborated to make houses with memorable rooms, office towers with non-corporate ground floors, publicly-permeable laboratory buildings, a state library with an outdoor interior, structured landscapes, small buildings mistakeable for furniture and heritage interventions without clear definition of old and new. The schemes consistently rely on colour, sometimes conspicuously. Having worked from Queensland and more recently, London, his practice Partners Hill is now based in the capital that has a surprising connectedness to international sensibility; Hobart. Current projects cover Eastern Australia and New Zealand, including a $250m housing project. His practice has always included jury participation, panel contributions, board memberships, lecturing and teaching.

Ryan Russell

As director of internationally recognised design practice Russell & George, Ryan’s experience crosses the fields of architecture, interior, industrial, theatre and exhibition design. Best known for his work with the skincare brand Aésop, Ryan’s other commissions include the design of the food precinct at Melbourne’s Emporium shopping complex, a workplace entitled “The Cloud” for health insurer Medibank and “The Millipede”, a lounge designed with his business partner Byron George for the company Grazia & Co. His design approach is strategic and holistic, always starting with an intricate understanding of brief and its' broader impact. This allows Ryan to not only shape a client’s space, but affect broader change within their organisation.
